DATA ACCESS & DELETION

People should be able to understand and control their personal data.

SerialCop separates personal-account data from durable product history. Requests are handled with both privacy and record-integrity obligations in mind.

Access and correction

Authenticated users may review their own account and product records through the platform. Users may request correction of inaccurate personal information or product information they are authorized to challenge.

Deletion requests

Users may request deletion of personal data that SerialCop is not required to retain. Some product events, security records, dispute records, transfer records, or other information may need to be retained or de-identified to protect legitimate owners, prevent fraud, preserve auditability, resolve disputes, or satisfy legal obligations.

Account deletion does not rewrite product history

Closing an account should not automatically erase legitimate ownership-transfer, theft, recovery, claim, or verification events from a Product Passport. Where appropriate, personal identifiers can be separated or minimized while the integrity of the product record is preserved.

Requests

During private beta, data-access, correction, portability, and deletion requests should be submitted through SerialCop support using the email associated with the account. Identity may be verified before sensitive data is disclosed or changed.
