SerialCop’s trust depends on correcting false, incomplete, duplicated, or fraudulent product records without erasing legitimate history.
What may be disputed
Ownership claims, theft or loss reports, counterfeit concerns, duplicate identifiers, data errors, verification decisions, and other status conflicts may be reviewed when supported by a legitimate challenge.
Notice and evidence
Affected authenticated parties should receive notice through the platform when practical and may submit receipts, photographs, transaction records, identity evidence, police or agency records, manufacturer or retailer records, and other relevant support.
Review states
Claims may be pending, under review, require more information, be approved, rejected, appealed, or withdrawn. Products may be held for review while a material conflict remains unresolved.
Appeals
A rejected claim may be appealed with a reason for reconsideration. Appeals should be reviewed by an authorized reviewer and preserve the original decision and later outcome in audit history.
No silent deletion of trust history
When a status or decision changes, SerialCop should preserve appropriate audit events rather than rewriting history as though the earlier event never occurred. Access to sensitive details remains permission controlled.
