These private-beta terms describe the rules of participation in SerialCop’s product identity, ownership-claim, status, and history network.

Accurate records

Users must submit information they reasonably believe is accurate and must not register products, submit evidence, report theft, initiate transfers, or create disputes for fraudulent, abusive, or misleading purposes.

Ownership claims are not universal legal title

SerialCop records evidence, claims, status, and contractual transfers. For many product categories there is no statutory title system. A SerialCop record does not override a court order, lien, statute, government title record, or superior lawful interest.

Verification meaning

Registration does not equal authenticity verification. Verification labels describe the evidence source and review state stored by SerialCop. A public result reflects the network record at the time checked and is not a guarantee against every undiscovered claim, counterfeit, defect, or legal restriction.

Loss, theft, disputes and transfers

Only authorized users may change sensitive product status or transfer ownership. False reports may be challenged, reviewed, reversed, and retained in audit history. Products with blocking statuses or active claims may be restricted from transfer or listing.

Beta service

SerialCop is in private beta. Features, evidence standards, institutional access, and workflows may evolve. Users should preserve original receipts, police reports, legal title documents, insurance records, and other independent evidence where applicable.
